Andrew’s Role
As Regional Manager, Andrew Smythe helps innovative businesses across the UK understand the R&D Tax Credit scheme to optimise their claims process and benefit, enabling them to reinvest in their business and scale quicker. He also works with external advisors to provide support to their clients, from startups through to scaleups and later stage businesses across tech, life sciences, manufacturing sectors and many more.

Before Amplifi
With an Honours degree in Finance from Queen’s University Belfast, Andrew spent seven years working with the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry where he gained vast experience of supporting NI businesses across a wide range of sectors to overcome challenges to business growth, both in domestic and international markets.

Outside Amplifi
As a ‘retired’ hockey player, Andrew can now be found running around the country roads of County Down, or in the gym trying to lift weights. And, a father to two girls, he also spends a lot of time trying not to visit their ‘beauty salon’ to have his nails painted and hair put in the latest styles.
