Northern Ireland Company Making national waves in Research and Development sector

Research and Development (R&D) tax specialists, Amplifi Solutions, has announced its new partnership with London based company, isoshealth.

isoshealth, a technology-based healthcare solution, will begin working with the Northern Ireland R&D specialists with immediate effect.

Kim Guest, Chief Executive Officer at isoshealth commented on the announcement:

“It’s a murky R&D world out there with lots of red tape, and constant changes in legislation. The thing is, you don’t know what you don’t know, so having a reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable R&D team to back you up is a gift. That’s why we are delighted to announce our new partnership with Amplifi Solutions.”

“I was put in touch with Amplifi Solutions by Tech Nation through the Slack platform. We’re part of a trusted founders’ group so when they made the connection, we knew it was one we could rely on.”

“We knew whichever R&D partner isoshealth chose to collaborate with, we needed them to really get to grips with our business and software development. The team are hugely responsive – and at a senior level too.”

Gary Davidson, Northern Ireland Entrepreneur Engagement Manager at Tech Nation said:

“Our Slack group, for new founders encourages scaling for company growth. That’s why we were so pleased that we were able to connect two very innovative companies. There’s a lot of R&D in London, so for a boutique firm like Amplifi Solutions to win the account is a huge achievement. It also goes to show that R&D works across the UK and Ireland, and it doesn’t matter where the firm are physically located. When it works, it works.”

R&D tax credits can be awarded to any company providing they are undertaking steps in research and development – even when those projects don’t succeed.

The firm, with its roots in Northern Ireland, includes qualified accountants and technical writers in the team. These experts guide companies through the entire process with their end-to-end R&D service; from an initial exploratory meeting, creation of the R&D tax credit claim, to submission to HMRC.

Chris Maylin, Managing Partner at Amplifi Solutions expanded on what the incentive can really mean to businesses:

“We’re delighted to be working with isoshealth and very thankful to Tech Nation for putting us in touch; it’s a great example of how working together can yield results. Innovation can occur in any company, if a business is creating or changing an existing product, service or process; they could qualify for the R&D tax credit scheme – even if their innovation fails. It’s a support avenue that offers SMEs up to 24.7p for every qualifying £1 spent on R&D, a significant return that has helped fund many innovation projects.”
