Amplifi Solutions – Roger Daynes has over 20 years’ experience working across the financial services and tech sectors in Scotland, New York, London, mainland Europe and Dubai. Roger returned to Edinburgh in 2016 committed to playing a part in helping the Scottish economy flourish. As Regional Manager at Amplifi Solutions, Roger is focused on raising awareness of HMRC’s R&D tax credit scheme to businesses across Scotland and helping them to realise the significant R&D tax relief benefits their innovations have awarded them.

Innovar IP – Claudia Duffy is a former Scientist turned Patent Attorney, she has also become an entrepreneur by founding Innovare IP, a boutique practice of IP attorneys and IP consultants providing IP solutions to entrepreneurial communities in Scotland and the South-East of England. Starting with a BSc in Physics and Chemistry, Claudia went on to pursue graduate research in Physics through MSc and PhD degrees in Munich and Cambridge respectively. Claudia is an European Patent and Design Attorney and, since entering the patent profession in 2008, she held both private practice attorney roles (in London, Cambridge and Edinburgh) and in-house attorney roles (for two Cambridge-university spin-outs). Claudia is acting as IP Consultant for various legal practices and as pseudo in-house attorney for young companies.

Rooney Nimmo – John Nimmo is an experienced corporate, funds and investment company and investment services lawyer having acted on listings in aggregate around £2bn on the LSE. John has extensive experience of national and international M&A alongside helping start-up, spin out and growth companies – in particular, complex EIS transactions and issues, combining UK and US investors and director and employee share incentivisation and remuneration.
