Innovating to Improve Health Care

Ryan Williams, Connected Health, “Our ecosystem is built on innovation, we are constantly investigating new ways to improve and grow our care offering through people, systems, processes, and technology. The R&D tax credit scheme and Amplifi Solutions’ service are a valuable benefit to the business and our ability to continually explore new connected health possibilities.”

About Connected Health

In 2012, a team of highly experienced professionals, with a relevant mix of knowledge and expertise, came together to create Connected Health Limited. They provide effective and efficient high-quality healthcare services in the home and in the community, thereby promoting prevention and decreasing the demand for costly hospitalisation. They ensure their service is effective, safe, compassionate, and delivered with innovation.

Connected Health services include domiciliary care, connected TEC (Technology Enabled Care) and industry-leading training for Healthcare workers, which they deliver to the NHS and private sector.

R&D Activity

Connected Health’s service is supported by strong technological innovation, below are just some of their successful R&D projects:

Online Academy

Connected Health wanted to extend its current training service to include an online learning pathway for domiciliary care workers. They successfully took an existing e-learning platform and explored how to add new integrations and features, such as timely training reminders, training journey logs and the ability to produce relevant reports.

Complete Home Care, Telecare & Digital Health Platform

To improve care management, Connected Health tested custom-built feature improvements, including flexible rostering options, Sage integration and regulatory environment changes, on two care management platforms. After testing they selected one and customised it into a new robust care management platform that met all their needs.

Social Prescribing Platform

Connected Health explored how they could transform a manual method of prescribing holistic, social support (for smoking, nutrition, alcoholism etc), into an automatic one. They discovered a digital prescribing platform and built custom features, functionalities, and structures for their existing data.

In Progress

They are currently working on an incontinence detection device and telemedicine device that would deliver timed medication reminders to television sets.

Working with Amplifi Solutions

Ryan Williams, “We trust their service and perhaps more importantly the people behind the service. The process is robust, efficient and second to none.”
